RE: South Florida this winter

A lot of what you want is at the ORA on the east coast on Melbourne Beach but due to it's location, it is pricey. 3 pools, 6 tennis courts, just across A1A from the ocean and a bike path outside the front gate.

RE: RV Parks - Florida West Coast

I am biased but this is what we did 10 years ago when we retired...we traveled up and down both coasts for several years and said we would settle in when we found the place we liked the best. Got to see a lot and finally bought a lot on the East Coast at a cg near the ocean with 3 pools, tennis courts and a bike path just outside the gate....there are a lot of options and great places in Fl. so look around to see what suits you best; we thought the traffic was much worse on the west coast and was one of the reasons we bought on the east side...different strokes for different folks so take a good look around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Fulton NY area campground recommendations????

Take a look at Brennan's Beach; pretty close to Fulton and a lot to do for the kids and a nice, sandy beach. Or one of the state parks near Pulaski. Seber Shores, I think is the closest to Fulton.

RE: Epping NH (lacrosse camp)

The Shel-Al cg in N. Hampton should have plenty of room. It is close to Rt. 101 which takes you to Epping. Nice people. Basic camping but reasonable.

Copper Canyon trips via rail car

Understand there are no more rv trips through the Copper Canyon using flat bed rail cars. Is this true? If so, what happened to stop these caravans?

RE: Finger Lakes region of New York

I am biased but I grew up on Keuka lake at Hammondsport, NY. It is a great little town in the heart of the wine industry and it has a very interesting airplane museum as Glenn Curtis was competing with the Wright Brothers for the first flight. Cute little down town. Eat at the Village tavern and go down to the rail road depot area for a swim. Stay at the Keuka lake St. Park at the northern end of the lake. Big sites and close to the lake. Go to the Bully Hill Wine Co. for a tour and a great view of Keuka lake. To me, it has the most to offer of the Finger Lakes but if you have time, visit as many as you can. A beautiful area of NY!!!! Pen Yann is a nice town too. Going to the glen at Watkins Glen is also worthwile. Em me at niverr@aol.com if you have any questions.

RE: Fla campgrounds

Outdoor Resorts at Melbourne Beach is just across A1A from the ocean. It also borders the Indian River. 581 sites with about 130 rv sites and the rest are park models. Very nice park...3 pools (one on the beach side) and 6 tennis courts...newly remodeled bathrooms, new roads, lots of places to eat in the area; golf course .25 miles away...we bought a lot here 5 years ago and think it is paradise.

RE: Camping in key west fl

There are all kinds of shops along the main street..if you are a history buff, a great visit is the Truman Winter White House; much the same as when HST visited there several times...also a museum of artifacts...and Hemingways house and his cats!!! Lot of great places to eat; go to the top of the Holiday Inn to get the only 3-4 story view of KW....Mallory Square is fun at night...
